What's interesting, different, and generally neat is Texas folks usually let you know where you stand pretty quick so yes more genuine than some So Cal women I have known. I do think the stereotype is true people from the Midwest are generally the nicest woman and men.

Just get with a nurse and be done with it. Otherwise one of your friends or famiily should set you up with someone. People love setting doctors up.

I agree, RGB, since we never know on an anonymous board to whom we're speaking & everyone's personal experiences are vastly different, as we can see from previous posts. I was going to suggest that the OP ask someone he knows personally for feedback. Unless he's got a tape of the entire date for all to view, who's to know why there are no dates after the 1st & I suppose close friends may be able to shed some light on what they might see that we cannot.

To the OP, I wish you much luck, hope you find a great girl in the near future & hope friends can give you a hand with some constructive views.

I have to say, i haven't checked out the "relationships" section of C-D for many years. It seems to attract a rather..."sad" group with negative experiences or views of relationships. I think I shall avoid it...

Wherever you decide to post on the internets, and ask for advice...you have to know its not really cross section of the general culture. But I'm surpised by the sort of strange culture this board is pulling I can't quite figure it out.

But, it sure seems to be full of generalizations. Could it be that people interested in geography are here and they feel the need to also generalize about people and gender and even so far as generalize about specific places and the people in them?

I mean really? you are going to say what girls are like in Texas vs. LA and just state things like they are fact? oh and the roe vs. wade thing and women pouring out of a state because they can't have an abortion...lol. I'm sure. They will just pack up the uhauls in droves!

kinda scary really. I've lived in Texas, CA and the midwest. I wonder what kinds of things men would project onto me if I'm just walking down the street in any of those places (obviously they would assume I'm a local and take on the personna of that place...)

I'm posting this here as I think hearing from men/women who've been living in LA would help. Frank opinions will be appreciated. Have a nice weekend!
It depends on what kind of relationships these girls are looking for.

You mentioned that you were from different country, maybe these girls are looking for long term relationship and cannot see a future with you.

I don't think you have done anything wrong. You've been a perfect gentleman, don't second guess yourself. You need to figure out what you are looking for in a relationship, if you are looking for a good time, make sure you let the other person know. It is ONLY fair to the girls, don't lead them on.

I think it is good to talk about future plans at the very beginning, so nobody is wasting time.

Good luck to you.

p.s. There are a lot of very good hangout places for young professionals and students, like Irvine spectrum center, Venice Beach, Newport beach, Santa Monica etc.

Relax and have fun!
