Yeah, this whole pick-up line thing is so sad. But don't forget that we guys don't have it easy: people always say, "go to her, tell her something". Ok, tell her WHAT? Out of the blue? Women don't even have to think in these things and pretty much think it's all easy.
And NO, most of the time just being yourself or introducing yourself is not going to cut it...
