On a personal level, I can't really speak for the other guys but I have never had much success with pick-up lines

Though for some one who has had plenty of rejections this probably doesn't mean too much

Well thats not all true...
When I have accidentally mucked up a Pick-up line and followed with
"You know I'm Really terrible at this" often I will get a laugh and a reply
"Yes you are... Hi I'm ________" so I must say sometimes they DO actually work

There's a few pickup lines that can be amusing in the right situation and if there's a mutual attraction but for the most part I tend to think they're somewhat old fashioned because women have been listening to so many pathetic lines from guys who are usually intoxicated for generations and I tend to think that they're probably very tired of them and would respond much better to a friendly hello.

Totally agree I think some guys that have the looks and are Real players
Can pull it off. But the rest of us mere mortals, should really stick too "Hello"

That's the point.

I can't imagine any of these pick up lines actually working if taken seriously. Yet, if they are cheesy enough and done with some humor and humility, they could be great ice-breakers.

Ok to all the ladies in the place... ok ok on here today it's Friday 10-01-10 9:10am after work I plan on going out tell me what I should say or do to pick up a new GF. I will prob. go out tonight or Saturday maybe both so there is plenty of time to suggest ideas here. I will come back on Monday (If I can find this thread lol) and give a full report. I know from experience that "Hello my name is...." don't usually work all that well. Lets hear some ideas.
