I have not had any howings on my house in 2 1/2 months and wanted to know if anyone in the Charlotte area is experiencing an upswing in showings? We are losing out to all the new construction.
I am in New Home Sales. And I have had a big increase in traffic and sales since the beginning of January. Comes down to this- we've lowered our prices a lot.
No one seems to be lowering prices....even though houses been on the mkt for more than 6 months. I am actively looking for a house, wch areas have lowered prices?
We are in Gaston County and haven't had any interest in a couple months despite lowering price. We need to lower more but I won't do it until the builder agrees to cut me some slack on our new house. If he doesn't, we are done and off the market. I'm waiting to hear from our agent about what the builder said.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I think you're about done with your bubble as well. At least judging by Raleigh - HousingTracker.net: Median Home Asking Price & Inventory Data for Raleigh, North Carolina . They have almost 30% more inventory than this time last year. I'd imagine you're in similar situation. I was just checking this website and comparing cities and timeframes of inventory buildups and price reductions.
If you don't have to sell, I wouldn't sell if I were you. While the bubble was building in AZ, even though CA and NV were ahead, it was still unclear what was gonna happen. NC came WAY late to the party. Now everybody knows what will follow, so your markets will come to a screeching halt, IMO.
Showings and buyers have picked up here in CLT. It's important to be mindful of what else is going on in your neighborhood and to be reasonable when it comes to what you will sell your house for.
New homes are slowing the sale of older homes somewhat, but it depends on your neighborhood. There are still hot spots.
