Well that's one way to get out of paying your agent at closing.

This is silly.

Realtors are licenced by their state.
They make a substantial ongoing financial and educational investment in their business.
Realtors do not get paid unless someone buys or sells.

If one's motivation were to rob, rape, harm or kill, there are easier, less costly and untracable ways to do so, than becoming a Realtor.

Actually, the Broker of record will show, in the event the agent was unable.

Does your mom have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, in Maryland?

You intentionally distorted the logic. I did not say anyone might put years into becoming a realtor in order to then commit a crime.

I specifically said realtors, being human, are subject to the same human failings and flaws that non-realtors are, as you just demonstrated.

There are at least 4 agents in our office now that have concealed handgun permits.

I feel really bad for the very attractive female agents (and there are quite a few of them). They're at risk every time they step out, IMO.

Requiring preapproval is a good control, so is collecting some personal information.

With all the talk about Guns , and now the Supreme Court ruling, one would have to assume , that everyones packing ! A scary world we are creating.
I always had my Dog along. They are the best judge of people. If my dog didn't like the agent , or buyer , I got out of there quickly. Not a very business like environment , but , I found being casual with clients gave a trusting first impression. I worked in resort, vacation , and rural property ( mostly land ) , dealings, and , the customer was qualified , before I ever laid eyes on em. The scary types usually wound up being Government employees , or contractors..
