Was at the new Target about a month ago. I wasn't totally impressed with the selection... The store was nice. The layout wasn't totally aweful... But I would have done things a bit differently if I was to design the layout.
RJ, I don't think that's true about JCPenneys. Target owns the building, not the mall, and from what we've been told Target has no plans for the space at this time. There are no buyers at this time and we don't rent out. HQ would rather keep it empty and not help its competition thru their remodels.

I thought you might all find this interesting:

The now-empty Target building is on the block for $5 million, according to the real estate agent.

And check this out: The Bear Factory, one of the tenants in the Target wing, just moved (http://www.rushmoremall.com/store.asp?id=6785 - broken link) next to Zales in the JC Penney wing. Their sales were way down due to Target's move to Rushmore Crossing, as were a number of other stores' sales in that wing.

I've been in the empty space. They sold everything. The service desk is gone, it's all gone. Harley Davidson bought a ton of the bulk racking and wrote "harley was here" on one of the walls.

Was at the mall about a month ago. Didn't even bother head down the Target wing. I can see why that would happen though.
