We had dinner tonight at Tom Yum Thai in Cary. I don't know how we've overlooked this place - we've visited that shopping center at least a dozen times over the last six months.

They've done up the interior quite nicely; I especially liked the lighting. The service was excellent - quick and unobtrustive. But the food was really the best part. We had Thai Dumplings as an appetizer; Pad Thai and Massaman Curry as entrees; and coconut ice cream for dessert. It was delicious!

I encourage you to give it a try!

We like it too and their lunch prices are dirt cheap (although not a large serving of food). But still, $3.50 for lunch is awesome!

We've been there at least a dozen times. All their curries are great as well as Spicy Basil. The duck specialty is outstanding as well.

If you don't like things really spicy just order it mild and ask for the hot sauce you can add yourself.

We've been to a lot of Thai restaurants all over and this is certainly one of the best.

It's in the little freestanding building that used to be Courtney's in the shopping center with TJ Maxx, Performance Bicycle, etc.

I just had my leftovers for lunch and I'm still impressed I read that they owners are the same people who started Sushi-Thai - though they sold the Cary branch to their partner last year before starting Tom Yum.
