Enough Doom & Gloom! Happy Weekend & Happy Holiday Season! Let's all get out and do something fun this weekend..I know some will shop, but there are plenty of parades going on! Let's do something fun!

Have a great weekend everyone! Feel free to list any events, lets spread some holiday cheer, I am tired of hearing all the doom and gloom!

Some Local Parades:

Apex Jaycees Christmas Parade
December 6, 2008 5:00 p.m.
The Apex Christmas Parade route runs from the intersection of N. Salem Street and the Apex Peakway to the intersection of W. Williams Street and the Apex Peakway.

Durham Holiday Parade
Saturday, December 6, 2008 4:00 p.m
Durham's Holiday Parade route runs from the corner of Jackie Robinson and Blackwell Streets (next to the Durham Bulls Stadium) to Downtown Durham's CCB Plaza. Spectators can enjoy the live music and entertainment that takes place at CCB Plaza before the parade (from 2:00-4:00 p.m.), as well as the tree lighting ceremony that takes place in CCB Plaza after the parade (at 5:30 p.m.).

Garner Christmas Parade
December 6, 2008 10:00 a.m.
The Garner Christmas Parade runs down Main Street , in downtown Garner.

Knightdale Christmas Parade
Saturday December 6, 2008 2:00 p.m.
The Knightdale Christmas Parade is held annually on the first Saturday of December. It runs through downtown Knightdale. A park and ride shuttle ferries spectators from the Knightdale Wal-Mart parking lot to the parade route.

Fuquay-Varina Christmas Parade
Sunday, December 7, 2008 3:00 p.m.

There is also a Holiday Parade in Hillsborough on Saturday, December 6 at 3 p.m. There will also be a bake sale before the parade and wine and chocolate tasting at the wine store.

Sounds like a parading good time and I concur, agree and to be opposite of Doom & Gloom......I think its uplift & Bright!

Yes, Glenwood-Brooklyn Tour of Historic Homes is Saturday.

It's First Friday again! And this one is going to be a really good one. Lots of openings, a few new First Friday participants, and arty holiday gifts for sale.

The Boylan Heights Art Walk is Sunday.
