OK had to do it! Read way to many negative or almost
negative post here recently. So here goes, why I'm
happy in the triangle!

1. First of all without being exuberant one can make 3 points
about the triangle, versus none if we were say circular or
elliptical. Obviously those that are from Square areas can
make 4 points but that becomes in my mind boisterous.

2. We have terrific weather most of the time and I'll take
most over my least in the North East I use to have.

3. My tax rate here is low in relationship to my former tax rate
which was high. The number and percentage of each only
confuse the comparors so I purposely left it out.

4. The schools are 'interesting' versus were I came from as they
were non-interesting. One started in 'K' and ended up in
you guessed it exactly where it was projected when they were
in K. So everyone learned their ABC's the same way!

5. We have a downtown Raleigh that actually have working cranes
that are building things higher. Where I formally came from the
crane had large balls on them and made things smaller, which
in turn were made into empty lots where garbage collected and
an occasional soccer or sandlot game was played.

6. We have so many subdivisions to chose from that when one finally
make the decision to buy or build a 'NEW' subdivision is announced
next door or right down the road from where you justpicked your
perfect house, well almost!

7. We have live Hockey that can be witnessed in person and not on
ESPx channels! We are a kinder gentler triangle for that!

8. We have college basketball fans utopia, where the area shuts
down during the DUKE-UNC or the NC State-UNC games. I find
during those games its the best time to traverse route 40 EtoW
or WtoE with my cruise set! Play on I say to my self Play on!!!!

9. We are within driving distance to the Ocean and to the mountains.
Were not California in that respect but we passed on the Earthquakes
and wildfires too. Our water is green and theirs is well blue. Two
out of 3 isn't bad!

10. Last but not least its the diverse collection of people that make up
the triangle. From all points north and south, east and west, and
those from down under even. That IMO gives the Raleigh area
the special ingredient that draws one and all to us.

So IMHO its not geometry or the 1/2 backers, or temporary snow birds, its all
of us that are proud to say this is HOME!~

Have a GREAT DAY!!
