Please give me some apartment advice. My future daughter-in-law just got word today that she landed a job in Cary. She needs to move from Virginia in two to three weeks and has no idea where to start looking for an apartment in the Cary area. Her finances are somewhat limited so I would say the rent would have to be between $600 and $700 a month if at all possible. She'd like two bedrooms but a one bedroom would be okay. Also, she doesn't want to be too close to college housing anymore. She'd like a peaceful, calm, apt. complex located in as safe an area as possible. Any and all ideas would be so appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I just visited a friend in a complex called "Hyde Park", off Maynard and Harrison. I thought the apartment was adorable, very updated and modern looking. I didn't notice anyone suspicious looking going in or out while I was there. It seemed like a nice place and fairly quiet. I have no idea what rents are back there though!

Brampton Moors apartments on West Chatham is nice. Has a walking trail that leads to Bond Park. Very beautiful community. Good location and very safe. Rents are quite reasonable too.

We rented in Hyde Park Apts. when we moved down here. It's really nice - full of young professionals. We made some good friends there. It would be nice for her, safe and social!!! And the location is great.

Brook Arbor apts are really nice. Great gym, outdoor pool. Some units have fireplaces. Located off Hwy 55. Close to everything.

Do you know where her job will be located?

I'm a third vote for Brampton Moors. Very safe, family-oriented community, yet centrally located for any of the fun things she might want to visit (shopping, restaurants, etc).

Thanks everyone for all your great suggestions about good apartments in Cary. I knew the people on this forum would come through for her. Don't know exactly where in Cary her new job is located but she knows she wants to live in Cary. I'll forward all your suggestions on to her. You all are great! Thanks a bunch!

700 would be tough for a nice 2 bedroom apt in Cary, but should be okay for a 1br.
