Studying for my Project Management exam and hoping to find somewhere with a little more quiet than my home with two young kids. In NY, there were some libraries with a quiet room - simply cubicles in a closed off room where the only people inside wanted the same thing as you - quiet. Does anyone know if any of the Wake County libraries have such a designated area, or of another quiet place they have found to study or read?

Thanks!

College libraries are good for that, too.

Not many quiet places in N. Raleigh. You can try the North Raleigh Regional Library, or perhaps ncsu library. The ncsu library is so big you'll find a lot of places to study...as long as its before exam time. Good luck!

Quick update - I was in the Jury Pool room for some time today before I was called for a case on my first day of Jury Duty. I brought my study books and got a lot accomplished...Unfortunately cannot stay there forever lol..

Barnes and Noble Book stores have tons of people who camp out in the cozy chairs and study. I asked them if they minded and they said that is why they put the chairs there.
very quiet until someone gets on their cell but when they get all the dirty looks they usually leave

I think most of the public libraries have quiet rooms. Good luck on your exam. My husband is currently studying for the same one!

I would second Panera's and the North Raleigh Regional Library. The library also has a lot of space for you to be able to spread out. I've studied there several times myself. Good Luck!!
