Does anyone know of any gluten-free restaurants in the area? We live in Cary but are willing to drive... Also, if you have any experience with restaurants which offer gluten-free menu options - we're looking for those which practice safe food prep to avoid cross-contamination (medical necessity issue). Thanks!

Hey, I have celiac and am very gluten/cross contamination sensitive. Outback in Cary is awesome. They know how to be safe. There is a Italian place in Cary called Biaggis and they are good as well. New Italian place opened in the shopping center at Cary parkway and 54 who has. GF menu but no experience. Other places are Lilly's pizza on glenwood ave. all aboard pizza in holly springs. Also red robin serves a lettuce burger and fries with no seasoning thats GF. They just started selling GF hamburger buns too. Five guys burgers is GF minus thier buns.

Thanks! We're new at this! I'm surprised there aren't any totally gluten free restaurants in the area - or in most big cities it seems (searching the database). D saw there is one in Asheville. Seems like it might be a good business opportunity for someone!

If they build it, I will come!

No, seriously, I am tired of Wendy's chili! The area needs healthy gluten-free options that taste good.
