We took our first trip down to NC from PA this weekend with the family because my husband had a job interview yesterday in Raleigh. We really liked Cary and Holly Springs. Holly Springs was a little more affordable for us right now. (we'll be renting). I have 3 kids, one with autism, but would like him to be included in a typical school with the extra help he needs. Wondering if Holly Springs would be a good move for him, or are there more resources available for him in the Cary / Apex area?
Services for special needs students are provided to all children in Wake County. Unlike up North, the school districts in NC (for the most part) cover the entire County. Wake is one of those, so you can live in Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, Wake Forest, anywhere in the County, and your child will be eligible for special help. Our son graduated from Holly Springs High and we were very happy with the quality of services and the new school.
