So I needed to pick up my prescription. I called to make sure it was ready since over the weekend when I went it wasn't. I decided to ride my bike and it felt chilly so I put on a light long sleeved shirt. I got halfway there and it was really hot. And I didn't add a layer underneath the long sleeved shirt.
Then I looked at my watch, it was about 5 minutes to 7. And I couldn't remember if they closed at 7 or 8. I had a little less than one mile left so I started to pedal faster. I got to the pharmacy and saw it closed at 9 today. And 7 on the weekend. And of course I was hot from the speedy ride.
I decided I should get some takeout from on of my fave places across the street to make up for it.
So, I ordered online at Panera to pick up a quick breakfast sandwich and coffee on the way into the office. Panera designates a couple of parking spaces - right in front of the restaurant - for people who are picking up food.
Upon arrival, both of the spots were occupied. Woe is me, I had to walk an additional 50 feet or so to grab my sandwich and coffee. And to no one's surprise, the two vehicles parked in the wrong spaces did not have orders waiting for them.
I'll bet third world countries don't have to endure such torture!
Whenever I get lunch from the nearby Chinese place or the Mexican place, they always give me a fork and a spoon, but no knife. I need a knife so I can eat like a civilized person. I always have to go to the office kitchen to get a plastic knife. I guess they don't think I can be trusted with sharp implements?
