Webb's body was physically stuck to the power recliner and firefighters had to cut him from the chair to take him to the hospital. He died a few hours later, his body covered with sores and a "very bad odor," according to a police report.

Webb, 33, didn't ask for help for all those months, because he was ashamed and didn't have health insurance, said his wife, Ada.

You are seriously making a joke out of this?

Have some compassion.

This man died from being obese. No one wants to die like that. It is slow and painful. He left behind a wife that loved him. She is turning to God for help to get on with this.

Seriously.....I fear for this world.

What kind of spouse sits by and watches their husband or wife die without intervening? Who fed the poor guy? When are people responsible for their own actions?

Don't get me wrong. I believe in responsibility as well.

What could the wife have done to intervene? They had no health insurance. I don't even know how she would pick the guy up.

I read that article through and it said that the wife cleaned her husband off. I am sure she is the one who fed him as well.

I hope he is in peace now.

Thank you! I understand that he was an adult, but at some point, someone has to step up and stop the madness! His wife could have called for help 8 months ago!!!

From a certain perspective, yeah, I do find it a little funny. It sounds like a horrendous situation, but I think it's okay to see humor in bad situations, as long as we keep it in perspective.
