Two liberal states that overtax their people and then spend money wastefully.

Guess liberals need to learn how to make things work on a budget.

Then show Obama how that works because he surely has no clue what a budget is.

Ask Bloomberg for a loan!!

Down like dominos they go. That secession threat may actually become reality for states who are in the black.

They have to start cutting to stay in line with revenues. There comes a point where new taxes just won't cut it anymore.

I love how none of these governments (state/federal) cut back to match their revenues.
I do see that local ones do as they put projects on hold.

Wrong answer. They should look first to eliminating unnecessary or redundant government jobs. Then they should look into freezing pay increases all the way to the top of the state government. Next, cut or eliminate spending on social services. How much did NYC spend on the NY Bankees' tickertape parade after buying another World Series title? You know George can afford to pay for that parade himself. After doing all the above, then you "CONSIDER" cuts to education and hospitals.

Really? You have to ask?

The next ones will probably be Michigan, Illinois, and Massachusetts.

What's sad is Gov Paterson "saw" this coming and the state legislature didn't.
