I don't know why Snowe is putting on such a show. She has been desperately signalling Obama she wants something/anything to vote for...her "budget neutral" stance is nonsense, every entitlement program is sold to the public as being able to finance itself. And the GOP is still the GOP. IMO Snowe wants something from this president.
Although I haven't listened to Mark Levin in about the 2.5 years since I moved, he used to call her Olympia Snow Job. This is nothing new with her. The surprising thing was that it took her this long. She's been a RINO for quite a long time.

Your comparison to people needing health care to that of a wino is in itself very disturbing and indicative of the disconnect some people have to the realities of many working people in this country.
So a mother trying to get school physicals for her kids or people with diabetes or hypertension attempting to get treated and receive medication are trying to "feed an addiction"
If this is the best system in the world than yes it needs to be broken and put back together again.
