Can you show me that news online, because that news is wrong. Sonia Sotomayor was born in the Bronx. Maybe you misinterpreted the news

Her parents were the one that came to NY and were poor.

"Sotomayor's parents came to New York from Puerto Rico during World War II. Her father worked in a factory and didn't speak English."

"She was born in the Bronx and grew up in a public housing project, not too far from the stadium of her favorite team -- the New York Yankees. Her father died when she was 9, leaving her mother to raise her and her younger brother on her own."

I took this information from CNN.com Who is Sonia Sotomayor? - CNN.com

http://www.nypost.com/seven/06022009...yor_172173.htm this link also state that Sonia Sotomayor was born in NY.

"America identifies with the underdog, and you've been an underdog many times in your life, but always the top dog," Reid, D-Nev., said of Sotomayor, the New York-born daughter of Puerto Rican parents who would be the first Hispanic and the third woman on the high court. "

Another link of NYpost.com that states that Sotomayor was born in the Bronx.

I see by the way you named your location, the way you think about NY....You think it a socialist state which says atleast two things about you.
1) you follow hard right wing propganda.
2) You don't even know the meaning of socialist.

Nice cop out with the thanks for telling me how I should feel comment.

Obama is failing as a President so far, I guess this dumb woman was the best we could get from our "genius" President. If any of you have actually taken the time to read her opinions on some vital cases, you will see that she is a mental lightweight, and doesn't care about the Constitution, only how she feels (what a moron!)

She honestly said that it is OK to discriminate against whites, in order to promote blacks. Has she ever heard or the Equal Protections Clause???

Yeah, she is about on par brain-matter wise with Obama (very low)
Darn that Obama for not understanding where the real America is like Palin does. Sorry according to your Republicans anyone from NY isn't a real american....

Every person elected to the supreme court should be judged by their performance as a judge and not as a politically correct choice. If she is qualified, she should be elected.

No you're spinning it..You think that being happay and supporting someone that shares your backround is racist... I guess you also include all the white conservatives that where happy and supported bush because he was a good ole boy.

By your logic, anyone who criticized President Bush was out of place since he was a successful businessman, Governor, then President. If your "pedigree" doesn't include those positions you may not criticize him... Give me a break.

Stop defending this woman. The only reason she got in is because she's Mexican. She has admitted that she won't judge based on the Constitution, that should exclude her.

She has also talked about trying to legalize 20 million ILLEGAL ALIENS, who should be immediately deported. These ILLEGALS contribute nothing to society, they are breaking the law by their presence, they cost taxpayers money, and she says "let 'em stay!"
Lol...Bush was a succesful business man. Now we know your views are distorted. He ran businesses into the ground much like he did our economy.

Psst. There's already a woman on there. On when Bush nominated Harriet Myers the Left went NUTS. It's not about a woman, it's about a LIBERAL woman. And I'm sorry but I am not so sexist as to believe that a woman's mind doesn't work as well as a man's. The only criteria should be their sound judgements, which Sotomayor doesn't have in the least.
wow, another day, another time and another country, you would possibly be a memory. Is that really where you want your county to go?
