President Obama Exercises Diplomacy, Helps Avert Mess (Again)

April 04, 2009 1:28 PM

On the heels of his negotiations at the G-20 economic summit - where he negotiated a way out of a potential logjam spurred by a heated debate between France and China over tax havens - President Obama exercised his negotiating skills once again on this overseas trip, this time at the NATO Summit.
This time the debate was over whether Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen should become the next secretary general of NATO.

"a true ambassador"

LOL

Do you have a bust of him on an altar in your bedroom or something? I swear, you MUST be head over heels in love with this guy, with all the fawning you do over him in this forum.

Seriously - my post has nothing to do with being partisan or whether or not I like or dislike Obama. You honestly seem to have some sort of unhealthy fetish about this guy - and he is just a guy, you know... he's not a God or anything...

Ohhhhhhh I don't know. Maybe cause it has been 8 long years that we finally have an Ambassador who represents our country unlike the embarrassment we had with what's his face.

My mom and I were just discussing last night how nice it is to have someone we can be proud of meeting world leaders. Bush was an embarassment.

“This was a different style than what the leader are used to from a U.S. President," the non-Obama administration source said. "Obama was instrumental in making this happen. Obama eventually clinched the decision with his leadership – and because he listened to what people said.”
But you dont like that... you'd rather he be arrogant and ignore or dictate to the other representatives, right?

I assume you're talking about Bill Clinton ? I agree with you that he was an embarrassment & a liar to the US people.

How did his wife ever become a US Senator ?

I bet you guys won't be all happy a$$ed when you see your paycheck dwindle and all other government services (marriage license, tags, etc.) go sky high. I've already emotionally prepared for the worst.....but some of you have a rude rude awakening.
