The former White House adviser and longtime Obama friend nominated Wednesday as the next U.S. ambassador to the United Nations has a history of controversial comments that could haunt her in confirmation -- including likening U.S. foreign policies to those of the Nazis.

What it also does is send a real interesting signal to the rest of the world as Obama is giving up any pretense of being a moderate. It's also telling Israel they're effed completely. In a 2002 interview Powers recommended invading (!) Israel and imposing a peace treaty on the area.
With Syria at war, the Russians moving in heavy arms, missles and now nuclear subs, Obama couldn't have picked a worse candidate as the mid-east destabilizes.

This appointment rather points to his goals, doesn't it.
The appointments he makes are virtually clones of himself who think like he does; he might as well be in the position himself. They do his bidding and he retains 'clean hands'. That appears to be his standard operating procedure; that is why he surrounds himself with people who mirror him. Thus, Obama has picked the best candidate.
She says Hillary is a monster...then later backtracks...says the remarks "do not reflect my feelings about Sen. Clinton, whose leadership and public service I have long admired."
"I made inexcusable remarks that are at marked variance from my oft-stated admiration for Senator Clinton and from the spirit, tenor, and purpose of the Obama campaign," Power said in 2008. "And I extend my deepest apologies to Senator Clinton, Senator Obama and the remarkable team I have worked with over these long 14 months."
Powers is bad for the country for a multitude of reasons. Ignorant liberals have no clue who this woman really is.
