I, for one, would have no problem with the USA withdrawing our support for the UN.
But I think the issue here is Israel's potential strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, in the wake of their similar successful operations against Iraq and Syria.
Well heck! There is something we actually can agree on!
I still do not think israel will strike, they were training for a suicide run. They do not have the physical logistic to strike that far out feasably.
I beleive they were training for the "just in case" scenario for if or when Iran is confirmed to have a bomb, then they will sacrifice themselves in order to rpeserve the state.
I don't think they will attack and if they do, it is questionable whether or not such an attack would be sucessful. Most of Iran's operations are deep underground. They learned from what happened to Iraq. While Israel has very superior air power, they do not have the manpower to invade Iran. If they tried, it would be a disaster. And it would probably take a massive invasion to destroy the program. Or a nuclear attack. And that would not go over well at all. If you think the world is a crappy place and gas is high now....wait.
Oh I think they'll do it alright..The exercise is designed for that specific purpose. Remember they destroyed both Syria and Iraq's nuclear plants. They are aware of the difficulties involved in attacking Iran's facilities, but the planning is fairly well advanced.

K350...This was on the news this afternoon.
I can't beleive people are evening comapring Iraq and Syria to Iran.
Again people, logistics rules. They can not do it without support of someone in the logistics department.
Anyone who has ever been a member of any strike mission knows that it is not simply just flying over and dropping a bomb, there is a lot more to it than that.
"They cannot tolerate a nuclear Iran and neither should we"
Why should Iran tolerate a nuclear Israel? For that matter, why should all of the Middle East tolerate a nuclear Israel and U.S.? If they cared at all for their own interest, which is sadly the only object of foreign policy it seems in this era, then they would be arming against the two most aggressive forces in the region. Agressive and offensive I might add. When the U.S. violates international law and begins an invasion of the Middle East, the logical response would be nuclear armament. Only when policy makers and citizens get the situation fully into perspective, acknowledging the insecurities on the other side and the cloudiness of perceptions and our own hubris, can this whole Iran issue be solved peacefully. Come on people...
If I was a middle eastern country or any country that did not agree with US policy, the first thing I would be trying to obtain would be nuclear weapons.
That is why Pakistan, India and China get a free pass at everything, the US is scared to death to even enter Pakistan while in hot pursuit. India gets way with anything and is basically off the radar screen and China gets a free hand at their own policies with little or no critism from the US.
The west would love to see a nuclear free Russia so they can attack and seize the huge natural resources there (plus the Vatican would love to see all Orthodox Christians basically destroyed or at least nationless), but again, those pesky nukes.
