Nah...they gave them Stingers and Javelins...strictly defensive weapons. You must not know much about Military weapons and armaments.
They asked for air power and heavy artillery...they STILL haven't gotten it. The U.S. actually blocked Poland from giving them fighter jets at the start of the invasion.
It's been going on for 9 months now.
If you do not know the current damage assessment of the Ukraine at this time...educate yourself...then attempt to discuss it.

Not quite.

Poland wanted to fly the jets into Germany, to the US airbase, and have them flown from there into Ukraine.

The US was not going to go along with that. Poland had to find another way.

I understand the Slovakia has provided the same kind of aircraft. No one blocked them nor attempted to.

Some people were predicting a roll over in three days.

I thought "two weeks, five at the most". It was saddening to contemplate.

Nine months and Ukraine is retaking ground. That's impressive.

The possession of nuclear weapons is not a hunting license that allows the holder to do as he pleases. Any use of nuclear devices by Russia would be the end of Russia and no one else. The US would not even need to use nuclear weapons.

Russia can no longer win the Ukraine war. It is a question now of what they will be able to get in return for leaving. Ukraine says, "Nothing", but that remains to be seen.
Who won the war...The U.S. or Japan?
By any reasonable historical standard....Russia has already won. Look at the Ukraine, and look at Russia.
A quarter of the Ukrainian population had left their homes by the end of March...to this day, nobody in Russia has been displaced. What's that say about the war?
People need to deal with reality.

They have had damage, yes. But to say that Ukraine is completely destroyed is completely untrue. My wifes uncle is currently over there working on rebuilding in some areas. Hes even said that there is plenty of damage that he has seen but other areas you wouldnt even know there was a war on.

If the U.S. and NATO were "arming the Ukraine" why didn't they let them get those jets? And give them some heavy artillery.
Putin could wipe that whole Country off the map any minute he cares to. And everyone knows that.
Not a single Russian has been displaced....look at the Ukrainian population.
The Ukraine has been heavily pounded...some places have been pretty much reduced to rubble.
Russian is fine...no damage to speak of.
The opinion of the world means nothing to Putin...so you are spitting into the wind thinking that is in any way meaningful.
But if you listen to the people functioning on delusions and emotional headtrips...they will claim that the Ukraine is doing just fine.
So many people are so gone-in-the-head, they will not acknowledge the reality of what has occurred.

Since no one in the US was forced to leave thier homes when we were in Vietnam or Afghanistan, you must think that we won in those fights as well. At least if we go by your reasoning of Russia winning in Ukraine.

You are talking about nuclear, correct?

The U S is not contiguous territory to Vietnam or Afghanistan. There is no comparison.
The Russians will continue to pound their infrastructure...then wait for the cold weather to take its toll while they regroup and replenish.
Unless the world gets really serious and truly backs them...things will just get worse for those poor Ukrainian people in the long run.
Emotions and wishful thinking will not change that.
