$4 billion dollars isn't going to change Ukraine's border with Russia.

And it's not going to make Russia pay for any damage going on in Ukraine, we'll be paying for that too.

That money could've been spent on a... BORDER WALL. Or infrastructure, or high-speed rail, or anything other than enriching poor corrupt Eastern European countries that NATO will never accept.

Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Kazakhstan are also at risk, should we give them all $4 billion too?

Glad Romanians love their country. From everything I've read, it's a rough life. But if they love it, hallelujah.

Sorry to hear that they hate Americans and Zelensky.

Nonetheless, this thread is about the Ukraine War, where Ukrainians are slowly, kilometer by kilometer, pushing the Russian invaders back to Russia, or what will be left of it after this whole tragedy is over.

I think borders should make sense, otherwise, what's the point? What do these lines on the map mean? What is government?

NATO(eg "The West") is no more a threat to Russia than it was before the war. In fact, it is questionable whether NATO can even survive a Ukrainian defeat. Finland and Sweden joining NATO changes absolutely nothing. The only country that matters in NATO is the United States. Remove America and there is no NATO(or the EU for that matter).

Secondly, the United States has been telling Ukraine that it would join NATO since 2008... From the Bucharest summit... "NATO welcomes Ukraine’s and Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations for membership in NATO. We agreed today that these countries will become members of NATO."

In the months leading up to the war(IE when Russia began to mobilize troops to the Ukrainian border), Russia asked America repeatedly to guarantee that Ukraine would never join NATO. America reasserted its open-door policy. While drastically increasing its arms shipments to Ukraine, and while Zelensky began locking up his political opposition(Medvedchuk), shutting down anti-regime media, and telling Russians to leave Ukraine. Zelensky also claimed there was a coup plot against him, which he used as a justification to purge anyone critical of his regime(such as Rinat Akhmetov).

The Ukrainians are evil. I'm tired of you people pretending the Ukrainians are the good guys. If the Ukrainians win, they'll literally ethnically-cleanse Crimea and Donbas. These people are the scum of the entire planet. A corrupt and criminal people driven by lust for money and power. That isn't to say Russia is great and wonderful, but Russia is a saint in comparison to these psychos and miscreants in Kiev(or their masters in Washington and London).

Let's all be honest, this whole war was a setup by the United States to use Ukrainians as Cannon fodder against Russia to weaken Russia in the hopes of regime-change in Moscow. And none of you people give a **** if every single Ukrainian dies as long as they kill some Russians.

What amazes me is that the Ukrainian men being kidnapped off the streets and thrown into Russian minefields haven't murdered their officers.

You didnt answer the question. How far back should we go when it comes to what historically belongs to who?

I answered the question. The borders should make sense. For example, this is a linguistic map of Ukraine.

When I listened to Arestovich from 2019, he discussed why neutrality was impossible for Ukraine. At 3:44 he said.... "We have 2,700 km of land border with Russia, which are bare steppes. Do you have any idea how much neutrality will cost us? And count the rest of the countries that have territorial claims against us."

Who are the other countries he is referring to? Where did Ukraine's borders come from? Why should these current borders be permanent and unchanging?

Ukraine is rightful Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, and Russian clay. The Ukrainians are invaders who have been ethnically-cleansing stolen land since WWII(see Bandera). If the Ukrainians had negotiated with the Russians in good faith after their US-backed coup, or not forced their divided country to pick sides(IE neutrality), there would be no war.

Ukraine is a fake country, ruled by a far-right government who wants to ethnically-cleanse Crimea of Russians simply because Khrushchev handed them Crimea in 1954 for no apparent reason, even though ethic-Ukrainians have never been more than 25% of the population and everyone speaks Russian.

Basically, the borders of Ukraine make no sense. If they made sense, there would be no war. I'm in favor of making all the world's borders make sense. Always have been. It is my primary mission in life.

Im sorry but that is a cop out answer. First, how far back should we go to decide what borders "make sense". Second, what does that even mean? Third, who gets to decide what borders make sense?

Russia is now selling some of its oil above the $60 sanction price cap.
