Not reality. You get a supervisor who is told by above to do this. Then that supervisor tells his cops. Yeah you can disobey an order. You will be suspended and then fired. No one from city data will ever hear about it. Cops are not going to lose their jobs, health insurance and pension to appease you.

In fact, you can even occupy the Wisconsin state capitol, and not be arrested for tresspassing, as long as you are on the propeer side of political correctness.

But I guess not.

Looting and burning by BLM types goes ignored, but an unvaxxed 5 year old is cause for 5 NYPD officers?

This makes sense to you?
I was wondering why they are not arresting and charging the a-hole who forces a 5 year old to get vaxxed!

This was my first thought. It seems they get it in the neck which ever way the wind blows.

Nope. They do have a twitch on their lip, don't they just. But I gotta wonder, where's the limit? Is there a line LE from federal to small town municipal won't cross to protect their paycheck, insurance and pension? What would it take? Orders to shoot citizens for political reasons? What would it take? When would LE be willing to lay all the financial trimmings aside and join with the citizens? Kicking in doors looking for firearms? Cuffing stuffing and shipping people off to Covid camps for re education? Is there a line they won't cross?

There's always a time where "appeasment" isn't the issue now ain't there just. At this juncture it's about appeasing the politicians isn't it. The ones with the purse strings. But sooner or later job insurance pension whatever has to run up against right and wrong.

It is the POLITICIANS behind this absurdity. From the White House right on down to the court house.
Its the entire chain, from the cop doing the dirty work all the way on up to the politicians.

Indeed. The excuse of “I was ordered to” didn’t fly after WWII, and it shouldn’t fly now.

Quote:
“New York City’s on track to end 2021 with a more than 5% increase in major crimes for the year, according to “the latest NYPD statistics.

Through Dec. 21, the NYPD’s CompStat 2.0 program reported, more than 98,580 major crimes (murder, rape, robbery, felony assault, burglary, grand larceny and auto theft) had been tallied year-to-date, up from the 93,231 recorded at the same point in 2020.

The city’s on pace to finish 2021 just shy of 500 murders; as of Dec. 21, 464 homicides were recorded this year, up from the 452 cases tallied at the same point a year ago. And despite the NYPD’s best efforts to stop gun violence — including making thousands of gun arrests this year — shooting incidents are up about 2.4%.”
But someone decided the NYPD could spare 4 or 5 of their finest to check the vaccine status of a 5 year old.

These men should be ashamed of themselves.

No doubt. The problem is NYC is a left wing cesspool. Its so far gone at this point. No coming back.

How often do you go to the queens center mall?
I think you'd be ok there.

Most likely arrests there are for protestors against the vaccine mandate all over that place.
Don't get mixed up with that nutty crowd who have become violent..
Those anti vaxers are crazy
They try to enter and eat at that very same Applebee's without a mask and end of getting arrested a few times over the last week..

I bet they thought bringing a child would get them some sympathy.
Aint gonna work.
Cops are stupid.

But that's not the way it works. The people were being trespassed, outside of the reasoning for the trespass falling under being a member of a protected class (e.g. race), a private company can trespass whoever they want for nearly whatever reason they want. The police absolutely should do their duty and obey the wishes of the private property owner/rep and ask (and then forcefully remove) someone that the private property owner doesn't want on their property. This is why the officer said (and this is from the OP's original post):

Quote:
“If you leave voluntarily, there will not be charges pressed against you; otherwise you will be arrested for trespass. This is your only warning,” the officer said.”
They were NOT arrested (or threatened to be arrested) for not displaying their vaccine cards.

Now if it's found that vaccine status is protected information and utilizing that information to deny service at a public accommodation is therefore illegal, then the police should be made aware of this fact and they should not enforce the trespass request. Until that point though, they are doing what they should be doing.
