I’m getting two polar opposite interpretations on what happened January 6. One side claims there were overzealous LARPers (Live Action Role Players). The other is that there were hardened insurrectionists attempting a coup. But I think the truth is somewhere in the vast middle.

Insurrection by Trump supporters. Not a good day in American history. For those that think it was some other group doing this as a disguise there has been countless articles, interviews and reports that put that thinking to bed. It was Trump supporters. The good thing about the internet is you can take pictures and track down the assailants, their history, photos and what they support. Dangerously bad people, like Trump. Glad a lot of them are in jail.
I have a politically incorrect question; why is it that the insurrectionists of Minneapolis, Portland and Seattle were allowed to break Covid lockdowns and are put on a pedestal which the January 6 gang is vilified? Are we afraid that the people who largely built this country insist on keeping a voice?
The January 6 rioters are vilified because they attacked the United States Capitol in an effort to stop the final certification of the election of the President of the United States.
Their voice was heard in the election and they lost. They wanted to replace the orderly transition of government which has been a hallmark of the United States for over 200 years with a riot.

A lot of those guys were just standing around. And the media and Democrats have blown it all out of proportion and those guys are being prosecuted without due process. We are Communists now.
