I've actually started breaking that down myself, but it's a very time-consuming process, so I won't have the results for a while.

Looks like you're using million + metros but you don't have Grand Rapids in there.

Source(s) for the OP? You're one of the more trustworthy posters--I'm just curious as to the actual source(s)/methodology for the MSA job growth numbers. I didn't think Las Vegas was doing that well, for instance, and this contradicts my intuition.

I think what you're not factoring in with your intuition is the population growth rate out of Clark County, which is 15 points higher than it's job growth rate in that time frame. To put it into context one could conclude Las Vegas still underperformed given that statistic.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics. All the job growth in Las Vegas occurred from 2000-2007. The number of jobs there has just now gotten back to where it was in 2007.

Shhhhhh!!! That doesn't fit the national narrative.

Nothing to see here folks, Baltimore is still the equivalent of a burned up 68 Chevy stuck in a toxic pool of sludge.

I'm here to change that narrative. I'm not confined by other people's perception.
