Anything where they open you up for surgery is probably a good start. It’s risky. Even the recovery can be fraught with danger. My Pa is a good example of that.

Nevertheless, while you may feel strongly about this, you also aren’t a teenager trying to raise a child. I don’t see particularly good parenting out of her, she has a lot of growing up to do. Meanwhile, you’re likely footing the bill for years of safety net benefits in exchange for a kid who may not turn out well and who likely has a higher chance themselves of becoming a burden to the system. It’s fine to feel as you do about this, but the reason I identify pretty strongly as a libertarian is because I also don’t see imposing your personal views and morals on others as a kind thing to do.

The way I see it is simple. Don’t like gays? Don’t sleep with the same sex. Don’t like guns? Don’t buy one. Don’t like abortion? Don’t get one. Don’t approve of religion? Don’t go to church. And on and on down the line.
Repped. Well said.

Interesting. And in your opinion, what is the appropriate demeanor one should have before, say, getting wisdom teeth removed?

I am really torn on this type of thing. There is nobody I respect more than the conservative or religious person who aids and assists in the prenatal, birthing and postnatal care of infants who come from less than ideal circumstances.

And there is nobody that disgusts me more than the conservative who feigns "empathy" regarding the child's birth in regards to the abortion issue.
