If I had a dollar for every person I've heard accuse him of being a rapist, I could go on a pretty nice vacation.
And now I'm hearing people actually call Dr. Ford a "rape survivor" or "rape victim." Well, maybe she was raped at some point in her life, who knows, but even she isn't accusing BK of that.
But never let facts stand in the way of emotional rhetoric.
Why is it when one person watches that hearing and leans toward Ford it is emotional rhetoric? The other person can watch the same testimony and find Kav more credible and find it just the right touch of emotional indignation but not emotional rhetoric?
Let's ask Kavanaugh if any of the shennanigans that went on during the "hearing" would fly in his court of law. I'm sure Kavanaugh would tolerate the a defendant in his courtroom behaving the way he did .
That's a shame. Democrats should have thought of that before they dragged him through the mud for political gain and now they're afraid he may hold a little bit of a grudge. Live with it.
I disagree. I could find no reason not to seat Neil Gorsuch. He is a decent human being, even if I don't agree with his political views.
Kavanaugh is a whole different thing. His behavior before the Senate hearing proved he is unfit for the SC, even not accounting for his lying under oath. Which in itself should be disqualifying. It's incredible that to the GOP, it isn't.
Oh you Progs are so clever. Let's change the narrative now that we know the pawn that was trotted out was not credible. I will never end. So transparent.
I wonder if her opinion would have changed if witnesses were allowed to testify. In a real court, they wouldn't have been able to silence so many people. So basically, this assessment is useless. It wasn't anything like a court of law.
You mean the witnesses who already gave sworn statements saying that they had no recollection of the party, the event or the accusations being made? Those witnesses?
True to some extent, but it is also based on the fact that the stakes are so high. One of the big weaknesses in our system is that a SCOTUS justice is appointed for life. Maybe that was OK back in 1790 but it makes no sense in this day and age. Second big weakness of our system is the power that we give to a President. That's has never been an issue until Trump; now we see that the whole democratic republic is at risk when someone is at the helm that has no scruples or limits or common sense. These things underlie the intensity of this battle. The whole future of the country is at stake, I guess you could call that a "game", but that tends to obfuscate the seriousness of the situation.
Seriously? After President Executive Order Obama? Give it a rest.

He wasn't a defendant in that hearing, he's the nominee.
