"Proud Boys, the Infamous Right-Wing Brawlers, Head to the Heart of Antifa Country"
These right wing thugs aren't going to Portland to sip coffee at the bookstore. Just another example of how Trumpism is dividing America and inspiring violence.
Once again, lost on the thoughts of many is that groups like these specifically target certain locations AND publicly announce it, so that they will bait groups like Antifa to show up.
Of course they announce where they will be demonstrating. Often, these groups must get a permit to assemble. They must also announce where supporters can go to be a part of the demonstration. If antifa shows up looking for trouble, they will certainly find it if they choose to assault people peacefully demonstrating and sharing their beliefs.

Classic marketing strategy by extremist groups to get attention and sympathy for their cause.
And people take the bait hook line and sinker.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Extremists advocate using violence as a means to an end. This is something antifa supports and advocates for 100%. Antifa should be classified as an extremist group, and possibly a terrorist organization.

Antifa -- one of the most psychotically violent groups in existence in our country. They are fanatics. They are Communists. They are trying to burn everything down to make way for their Communist utopia. Showing up at Berkeley or Portland to resist these nutjobs is a very good thing actually. It brings the rats out of their holes and lets the world see them for what they are.
The odd thing about members of Antifa: They're surprisingly bad fighters individually. They tend to rely on group tactics for that very reason. They seem to need to vastly outnumber their enemies before they are a serious threat. They also tend to rely on the police to disarm the other side but not them. And they are absolutely incapable of letting anyone they consider Right Wing speak or assemble or do anything anywhere ever. All they have to do is not show up and the Proud Boys and similar groups will get bored and go home. At the very least don't physically attack anyone. They just can't do it.
Here's an easy prediction: Antifa will attack first like they always do and the Proud Boys will beat the ever living feces out of them for it. For their part, the mainstream media will rant and shriek about how it's all the Proud Boys' fault "Antifa didn't do nuthin."
Feeling sympathy for Antifa is like feeling sympathy for John Wayne Gacy. Antifa are a bunch of violent thugs that commit violence against innocent people; they deserve whatever is coming to them.
“It was very scary,” said Shalom’s daughter Yael. “There was a lot of people protesting outside wearing masks […] and they threw a significant amount of feces at our windows.” https://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2018...boyle-heights/
Looks like a anti-Semitic crime. California is chock full of mentally ill, hateful bottom feeders.

Sure, but that's not my point. At all. I'm not debating whether Antifa is a 'good' group or not, they are violent extremists.
Just like groups such as Proud Boys who marched with other extremist groups for Unite the Right rallies.
My point is that whenever groups like Proud Boys plan a rally, they specifically target locations where they know they will antagonize the local population. They are looking to get into fights and being attacked, as that fits their agenda and gives them more publicity and sympathy from more moderate whites.
