An earlier generation of protestors may have chosen non-violence as their way to protest, but that was then and this is now. It's obvious this generation has chosen differently.
I think you missed my point. Learn some history. Think about what the actual facists did to those who disagreed with them. ANTIFA is "fighting facism" by engaging in EXACTLY the same behavior that facists do.

Except that Antifa isn't "fighting fascists".
They define anything to the Right of their Far Left communist rooted ideology as "fascist", and so their label is semantically meaningless. They violently attack what opposes them. What they are is "Pro Communist".
They have their historical root in the paramilitary arm of the communist party. Their equivalent in Spain carried out death squad executions by the thousands, just like their Communist compatriots in Russia. This was to eliminate challenges to power, not to fight against an ideology. Of course, to them its the same thing. They are pro Communist. Full stop.

You invalidate your entire argument in citing the SPLC. You may as well consult the NYT or MSNBC for their "Hate group" list. This will always be comprised of groups that are merely opposed to Far Left social values, no matter how close to or far from that line they are.

American laws and the constitution, that's who. It prevents soy-boys from defining anything that is against their ideology as "fascism" and subsequently justifying violence.
