What you term "real patriotic Americans" are neo-nazis. Look into it. Nothing "patriotic" or traditionally "American" about them (why were they carrying the Union Jack?? Something about Brexit, or Anglo-Saxon "heritage", perhaps?), anymore than about the other bunch.

Neither group's presence should be confused or conflated with the much larger family-oriented rally going on peacefully elsewhere in the city.

Both groups are both distasteful and deplorable in my view, but both have the Constituional right to speak and assemble as long as they do so lawfully and peacefully. The police were right to intervene when violence broke out, and they were well-warned to cease their unlawful behavior before the police took action, as videos show clearly.

Not sure what they are about or what they stand for. What I saw was a group carrying American flags defeating a group that takes to burning the American flag. Looked like a good time had by all, beating on noodle arm twerps who pick on defenseless, innocent American flags.

Are you more physically safe:

(1) Wearing a "I only vote Republican" shirt walking alone through the strongest Democratic strongholds of your state.

or

(2) Wearing a "I only vote Democrat" shirt walking alone through the strongest Republican strongholds of your state.

In Michigan 100%, you would be far safer doing #2 than #1.

Entertaining!

5:55!!! Bink! KO!

Holy crap. Even though that kid was hitting him with a baton, that was a scary KO.

I hope he's still alive and does not have brain damage. Head hitting the asphalt after a punch like that is not good.

The guy that did the knocking out is a freaking tank of a man. Don't mess.

No one has the Right to attack someone else just because they don't like what is being said.

Is this the type of civil discourse that Nancy Pelosi and other Dems are calling for?
Just like people do in the political thread on message boards, these punks come to the peaceful rallies to start their violence so they can get the rally shut down.
They do it in colleges at which a conservative speaker is scheduled to speak.
They are paid to do this. They don't even know why they are doing it. There are videos on YT of them saying such. They say they came in on a bus and were told to come here. When asked who they voted for they say "actually, I didn't vote".
They are hoodlums, bullies and punks who need their as*es kicked all the way to the police station. The provoke the Trump supporters and mace them among other violent acts. Trump supporters eventually have to take up for themselves and then the police are called in. These radical, liberal, socialist are turning every day Democrats away from the party.

WHAT, pray tell, does anyone at this rally on either side have to do with Nancy Pelosi or the "Dems" ?

This is two groups of people ready to brawl getting what they came for.

This proves to me that there are people who cannot control themselves anymore. Why exactly is it necessary for politics to be a blood sport? Their mothers did a lousy job raising them. That goes for both sides of this idiocy.

He's Antifa, already had brain damage, as well as a weapon.

Then that "incel" defended himself bare fisted.
