That's a BS statement you're making. Our country was never about only accepting nothing but the best.
Heck, why don't we kick out all of the natural born unskilled workers from our country? We don't need them, or want them.
Jeebus, for a party that claims to be the party of christian morals, day after day, they prove to be the opposite.
"Questionable candidates were forced to submit to more detailed questioning and medical exams, and any signs of contagious disease, poor physique, feeblemindedness or insanity could see an immigrant denied admittance on the grounds that they were likely to become a ward of the state. In later years, doctors at Ellis Island even devised puzzles and memory tests to ensure that certain immigrants were intelligent enough to find work. New arrivals could also face rejection if they were anarchists, had a criminal record or showed signs of low moral character."
A quote from "things you may not know about Ellis Island" , seems like they did have a sort of selection process. And those that failed had to wait 12 months before they could retry, and in the later years that was bumped up to 3 years.
The question is: Why SHOULD we take unskilled workers from illiterate countries with poor cultures?
Is that what the economy of the future needs?
We need to move to a points-based system, and quickly.
Enough of this liberal bull**** of being open borders while whining about not enough welfare, and complaining about the wealth gap, educational challenges, child poverty, etc. while you're LITERALLY importing poverty from the worst parts of the world.
It appears you have not been in a hospital or known anyone who needed assisted living or hospice care.
Do none of these GOP congress members have kids?? Grandkids?? Do they think it is OK for the sitting president to say ****hole? Do trump voters think it's OK for their kids to say ****hole? Just wondering.
What else are they going to say? That they made a mistake by voting for him? Can't have that. And what about Melania's country? He wouldn't be married to her if it weren't for immigration. Trump's hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Why in the hell would Norwegians want to move HERE when they already have everything the USA is unable to provide????? They have decent health care, family leave, true equal opportunity for women... it would be a real step down for them to come here.
i know two Norwegians who moved here and are now US citizens. both got fed up with the state trying to protect them (for example, an eddie murphy standup video, once it went thru Norwegian censors, lost 80% of its total content) and both were big firearms fans.
I think 1/3 of Americans think this way too. They are the ones who will love seeing this and say "he tells it like it is."
That is the real issue. That this many people see black and brown people as beneath them.
Based on the poll results, about 47% of CD forum posters think this way. No wonder CD forums is known as one of the many online homes of the Neo Nazi and white supremacist movements. This place is Stormfront Lite.
This has always been the reality: Not everyone who supports Trump is a racist, but they do not consider racism to be disqualifying in the President of the United States.
You got a lot damn nerve making that statement after eight years of racist Obama.
And people on the right always get mad and upset, because people view the Republican party as a party of mostly racist people. Well this is why, when the head of the party say things like this, and his supporters defends his words to the end. He is a major divider and love giving red meat to his base, and they lap it up like crazy. But, all good things must come to an end, judgement day is coming.

Well there you go -- 2 Norwegians represent a country.
With that logic -- 2 Haitians or 2 Africans who are professionals should convince everyone that people from these areas can be assets to our community right?
