Give it a rest. Merkel is not an ally in my eyes. What about the souls, the nation of Germany?

HER attitude threatens the lives of peaceful Germans. HER attitude threatens them and their families.

I'm not in favor of being idiots, either, and if these people want to be part of NATO, they need to pay the agreed upon amount.

Military spending and "money for the poor" is not from the same budget. Military spending is part of the Constitution. "Poor people" spending is not.

This is real life, "buddy". Doing the right thing isn't always fun. It comes down to doing the right thing which is not allow the people in your country to suffer at the hands of "refugees" who are entirely unvetted, to come in to the country, absolutely soil it with their litter and filth, attack innocent people, kill innocent people, and demand that the entire country cater to your every whim and want.

If you want to talk about things being unfair, that is unfair. Then again, we are speaking about countries who think that someone else determines their success:

Most Say Success Determined by Outside Forces | Pew Research Center

Instead of their own hard work. I guess that's to be expected when the government controls almost every facet of your life right on down to the little yellow van that drives around to find out who amongst you has a television...have to make sure you bleed every last fenning out of the natives for taxes to support socialist ideals and take care of the new terrorists...I mean "refugees" who appear very capable of picking up a weapon and fighting for their own country...

The Germans sure loved it when the USA had bases there, despite what they will tell you. Those soldiers brought in a lot of money to the local economies, and God forbid we leave a single track mark behind while out in the field...that farmer or land owner would get a nice, fat bonus from Uncle Sam as an apology. They complained publicly, but quietly, they loved our money.

Now we are asking them to pay their agreed upon share - and Merkel is throwing a fit. Instead of slamming on the US, why don't you ask why Merkel is throwing such a tantrum about being asked to pay her share that Germany agreed to do when NATO was formed.

How interesting that Greece, the country that's in shambles and in need of serious financial help, still manages to pay their agreed upon share. And you want to bleat on about "real life" and the "poor".

Putin is a master at social engineering and he basically took a page out of the standard Republican playbook.

He bet on the fact that the white underclass in the US hate blacks, Mexicans, Muslims and Obama more than they love America thus we have Trump in the White House. Sad part is that Trump's supporters are going to lose the most and I can not find much sympathy for them due to their constant vitriol.

well, Merkel has to find a scapegoat, and that scapegoat is Trump.

The US troops, stationed in Germany, were originally there as part of NATO’s military mission to protect its member nations from a Soviet military attack.

But, as of today, it's unclear to me why such a high of US troops are in Germany, since the Cold War ended in 1990.

How many of you have said, we should bring all troops home from European countries? Now what?

You know what is funny about Trump budget.....Obama's proposed budget was voted down 99-0 in the senate and 414-2 in the house. In fact Obama never pass a single budget even when they had a super majority in both houses.
Liberals are weird and totally hypocritical.

I said Trump supporters, not Republicans, try to keep up. Obama certainly had problems getting his budgets passed, but I don't recall any of his proposals pushing for massive cuts on things like Medicaid, the poor, families, children, the environment, health care, etc. Republicans support all those cuts, but they're facing severe backlash from their constituencies, so they have to pretend like they care for a while.

Here's the deal, either you pay as you agreed or we take your missile systems and go home. Hows that. After so many times of telling them you can't be nice about it.
Then I don't want to hear Americans complaining when the US inevitably finds itself under foreign threats, including terrorism. Let's hope no one you care about is sacrificed at the altar of your own unreasonable ignorance.

Is all the Merkle hate related to her being a strong woman? I know that bothers certain people.

Whats weird is that you apparently unaware that presidential budgets are viewed as just suggestions. And are....promptly ignored. While I might criticize Trump for his budget plan, I am aware that its not getting passed....just like every other president.

I thought everyone knew this? I mean...this is a political forum. Its been discussed before.
