We can't stop them from developing these missile capabilities. We don't have a right or pretext UNLESS they attack a neighboring alley of the US (like S. Korea or Japan).... What we should do is develop solid anti missile missile capabilities to counter them.

There probably won't be that many. Anyone in the blast radius is vaporized. The rest die from radiation & burns in short order. The countryside outside the affected area, is remarkably untouched. If anything, headed to the immediate East would expose them to further fallout.

And then there's Madonna also from CA who fantasizes blowing up the White House. Berkeley rioters beating up Trump supporters and not allowing free speech on campus. The reason these countries want nukes and missiles is they don't want to end up the next Iraq. Had Saddam had nukes I guarantee you we would never of invaded. Funny now in hindsight it would of been better to let him have the damn things and not have to deal with ISIS.
If we get involved with NK over words or technology China will intervene. If they do something stupid to SK or Japan then the gloves can come off. Until then let him rattle his little jail cell all he wants it isn't worth getting involved.

The real threat is not from an ICBM we can shoot down, its on one of the million ships that visit our ports and they don't need ICBM tech to be able to deliver it. They could just stick a couple of very dirty bombs and detonate them 50mi off the coast with prevailing winds doing the rest. Just as effective and a lot easier to get through.
Does that include a submarine 300 miles off our coast?
