SMH, conservatives and those that use words like *******. Reality check for you; MLK's dream was to handle race and race relations as mature adults. Color blind, does NOT mean, to zip it when it comes to talking about it at all (talking about race doesn't automatically equal racism, fools) and call anyone who has a legitimate beef and tries to fight it in some way a "race baiter".

The reading list of Martin Luther King Jr's writings and speeches for conservatives begins and ends with the "I Have A Dream Speech." Which they use as a counter to any issue regarding racism. Unfortunately, they've missed the at least two other important statements.
From "Why We Can't Wait, King wrote:
"Whenever the issue of compensatory treatment for the Negro is raised, some of our friends recoil in horror. The Negro should be granted equality, they agree; but he should ask nothing more. On the surface, this appears reasonable, but it is not realistic."
or from an interview with Stephan Oates
"A society that has done something special against the Negro for hundreds of years must now do something special for the Negro."
But you will never see those two quotations in the National Review or being uttered by a Republican candidate.
He would be turning over in his grave if he saw the illegitimacy, welfare dependence, the black on black violence, the black on white violence, the drug use, the gang culture, rioting, the pissing away of free education and affirmative action, the laserlike focus on non issues such as "microagressions" and "cultural appropriation," and the lagging of the black community behind even ESL students in some metrics.
He would turn over in his grave if he could see Detroit, or even the average hip hop video.
Just give it up. The era of whining and crying about the great conservative bogeyman is done. Obama killed it. After seven years of a black president, MLKs dream apparently realized, not only has the needle not moved a single tick for the black community in general, but it is in many ways moving backwords, with violence dramatically on the rise again after a couple of decades of cooling off.
"I have a dream that my four
little children will one day live in
a nation where they will not be
judged by the color of their skin,
but by the color of the officer's skin"

right, because conservatives are the ones that claim racial discrimination, and yell racist at everyone that even approaches a conversation about race, and yells racism every time someone disagrees with someone of another color. oh wait, those are all LIBERAL moves.

Physician, heal thyself.
Prime example of what I'm talking about. I'd bet the farm you're a white man without any black friends.
And you totally missed the point of the thread.
But of course, even talking about how to address, these issues, like you mentioned, and having whites help at all, in the conservative mind, equals racism.
