You misunderstand the age, I am 28 now, I was 14 at the time. The 16 year old I speak of would have been 1 at the oldest when 9/11 happened. How many of us have actually remembered stuff from before we were four years old?
Ok, from your post I thought you were referring to 16 year Olds in 2001.
I do want to say. I blame the government more than I blame parents in-general. One of the reasons I chose to never have kids, was because I feel like government/society/women, have made men practically impotent when it comes to raising/disciplining children.
If you aren't a permissive parent, who raises his children to be spoiled materialistic brats, then you are basically treated like some sort of child-abuser. And your authority is attacked and undermined at every turn. Eventually, you are forced to become practically a bystander, left only watching other morons raise your kids, or otherwise influencing them, in the most idiotic and degenerate of ways.
Best thing that could ever happen to this country, would be to abolish public schools. I hate them with a passion. And in my opinion, anyone who sends their children to public school, is committing child-abuse.
Stop listening to conservative radio. Millennials are extremely tech savvy and probably smarter than most of us. The problem is....the jobs are just not there. You have hundreds of people applying for the same job. And many of them are seniors looking to supplement their retirement.
I really think people mistake someone being an active and engaged user of technology, with being tech savvy. For every person who makes an app, you've got 50,000 who can't use a TI-83 calculator, all the while downloading and using an ever growing number of apps.
And keep in mind, I am one of those 50k who is not tech savvy at all. I use the technology, I don't understand it in the least.

TI-83/84 usage isn't even that tech savvy. All you need is the right setup and not GIGO it. Tech Savvy is more back-end development work IMO.
