federal law RLUPIA which was enacted in 2000 It is not cheaper to prepare specialized religious meals onsite, that is why prisons and jails buy them pre-packaged from vendors, why else would they? I kind of feel like this argument is just going in circles, I've said all I have to say, if I were to comment further I would just be repeating myself

Well, since the leftists cheer the president's decision to ban pork products from our prisons, schools will be next. You can bet on that. Obama will use the "It's for the children" excuse, and all the little leftists will bow and say "Amen!".
Thank God a president can only serve eight consecutive years, otherwise we'd never be rid of him.
And we say the reasons and excuses are BS! We are a bacon-loving nation... all except the Muslims, of course, who are offended by the mere odor of it being cooked. God forbid we should force our Muslim inmates to suffer the abusive scent of bacon being fried in the Mess Hall.
This ban has NOTHING to do with finances.

Who is we? I do not love bacon. Never has bacon touched my mouth. It does not smell good. It is against my religion to eat bacon. I am NOT Muslim. I am CHRISTIAN and part of the 5th largest Christian branch in the world. Same faith as Ben Carson who does not eat pork.
Please have a universe of seats. Not everyone eats bacon.
As long as we are repeating ourselves, Jews have been here a long time and this hasn't been an issue until just now. I would like to see some statistics on the percentage of practicing Jews that make up the prison population vs the percentage of Muslims.
There are Christians who do not eat pork as well.
There are other groups such as the Hebrew Israelites who do not eat pork.
