I don't care how bad the gun crime situation has gotten in the UK it is still nowhere close to that of the U.S. More to the point, what gun crime there is in the UK will really be 100% due to gang or thug activity. That cannot be said of the US. I just read the CDC report claiming that 80% of gun homicides are gang related. This is interesting because the same CDC has also reported that a gun in the home is such a danger to children living in them that they urged the removal of all guns from homes with children in them. 20% of a jaw dropping number of homicides is still a jaw dropping number of homicides when compared to places where, in a most years, NO individuals die as a result of being murdered by guns, sometimes not by any other method either.
People will continue to look to legal and political solutions, instead of God. Why?- because that's less offensive. It's also incredibly ineffective. Keep sleeping America.
The effectiveness as God as a tool for solving thorny social problems is unproven. Legal and political solutions are the best we have at the present time. Intelligent people work on the assumption that God either does not care, or wants us to work things out for ourselves. Or possibly that there is no God.
A country this big, that's still a lot of bullets flying. How about we do something about all that lead in the environment. Its bad for developing human brains and toxic to fish and wildlife.

Besides few areas with high concentrations, lead is not an issue. And the areas with high concentrations get cleaned regularly, as the lead has value to recycle.

I thought guns were banned in the UK?
You mean even though there is a ban in place, criminals still find a way to obtain and use guns??
So it would just be the average law abiding citizen that is denied the right to a firearm then right?

Guns are banned in the UK, they are effectively banned in a number of cities in the US as well. In cities like NYC guns are extremely hard to obtain. For everyone. Stop, Question and Frisk in NYC found 1.8% of the stops yielded any guns to confiscate. So... yeah... criminals will find a way to obtain guns even after they are banned. Will all of them? No. So its worth doing for that reason alone. But, seriously. I don't really care. I am at pretty low risk for becoming a firearm statistic. I deplore the waste of life. But its not my call. While you point fingers at the mentally ill and the gang thugs you hope no one scrutinizes the scandalous safety record that legal gun owners have with keeping their weapons out of the hands of children and the procedural lapses that lean to accidental shootings. Y'all really would be much safer if you just let them take the guns.
So in other words, your thread title is dishonest and misleading.
When you describe something as a "mass shooting".... it generally evokes images of a lone gunman randomly targetting people that they don't know, in a public setting, with no apparent political or social motive.
This kind of dishonest conflation is no better than when a group like "Moms Demand Action" counts a police officer's negligent discharge of a firearm in a schools parking lot as a "school shooting"
This is what most people hate about the "gunsense" crowd. They don't seem to have an honest bone in their body.

Is that why the feds withheld data until after California passed it's ban on lead ammunition in the condor range, that showed a 2007 ban had little to no effect on lead levels in the blood of the Condors?

Most are probably gang shootouts. Everyone except Liberals are in favor of taking guns out of the hands of criminals.
