While I do think that people are misguided to support this statue, you are right. Maybe this will be a more fitting symbol outside of the government offices to represent what they are truly about.

I wish I had the resources to erect a statue of the Dollar symbol $ in the park. After all the principal religion of the country, worshipping Mammon, should be acknowledged.

It's really irrelevant what you think. Free speech and the free exercise of religion extends into the public realm.

Our rights aren't always pretty but they are better than the alternative which is even uglier.

The only thing that is important is equal application to all religions hence the reason Beelzebub is going to make an appearance. We can equally allow or disallow it, I think the better alternative is to disallow it.

Not really. According to most interpretations of the story line, his sin was that he wished to curtail free agency. Sound familiar? Be it fact or fiction, at least the author realized that such was "bad."
