Oops! Somebody goofed!

The law passed in Oklahoma intended that the Ten Commandments could be displayed on the Capital grounds. It could not be written, however, to keep any and all religions from putting up their own displays.

The Satanic Temple was created by Anton LaVey in 1966 and based on the teachings of Ayn Rand. I remember when it happened, because he was an instant hit as a subject for articles in the National Enquirer of the period (back when they were ambulance chasers with cameras).

Be careful what you ask for. There is a reason that church and state are separate.

OK law forces state to accept satanic monument next to 10 commandments

What? Wait a minute. When we said we wanted to have religious displays on public property we didn't mean just any religion!

Obviously, there is a need for a legal definition of religion in Oklahoma.

Religion is the union of one father, one son, and one holy spirit... amen.

Oh this is priceless!!! Needless to say I'll be following this very closely to see the plethora of excuses from the far right christian fundies as to why this should not be allowed. Hmmmm...let's see, what will they start with? "This is a nation founded on christian principles...blah blah blah!!!"

This is freaking hilarious. I bet all those good little Christians soldiers in Oklahoma who had visions of a Christian theocratic state are hyperventilating in a corner somewhere. Hilarious.

The War-on-Christmas gang isn't commenting this morning. I'd like to know what they think.

Well, I'd count myself as a member of the war-on-Christmas gang. I think the Satanic Temple isn't a religion, just like Scientology isn't. Religion and philosophy are different. But if Wiccans wanted a statue then I'd be fine with that.

Cool. Satan has been demonized but is really the good guy. Satan offered Eve the red pill so she and Adam could escape God's "Garden of Eden" matrix. Go Satan!

In the Bible:
God: ~ 25 million people killed
Satan: 10 people killed (that God allowed as part of a bet)

There are no, none, zero, zip, nada, Christians that want a theocracy, or a theocratic state. If you are looking to find a cult group that advocates for a theocracy, look toward Islam. That is what Islam and Muslims want. It is their goal to unite the entire world under an Islamic Caliphate. And they are at work here in America to Islamicize America. That's why they advocate for Sharia Law here.

Christians value Liberty, and they support and cherish our Constitutional government, as founded. If you can name any Christian group that advocates for a theocracy, do so.

If you can't, then shut your pie hole.
