Here I thought you were an Atheist.
I guess I was wrong. A true atheist could not believe in any of the various iterations of Lucifer, Lord of Hades, because that would mean admitting that the Bible is true, and God exists.
that can't happen!
Why does being an atheist mean I can't think the statue looks good?
I bet it won't last that long until it gets burned down by teenagers...Ridiculous! We haven't learned a lesson from communist atheist countries I guess....
Why would an atheist be against "thou shall not murder" and "thou shall not steal"... I guess they are fine with murdering and stealing. This is a reason why they should be arrested as a big threat to our country under one God. Our motto says it all! Even with the mention of God, since they don't believe in Him why care?!
Btw I don't care if the 10 commandments are gone; put them in a synagogue where they belong.
That's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.
Clearly, you have no idea what the tenets of Secular Humanism are.
Seven months after it was commissioned, the statue of Baphomet is in the final stages before reassembly and shipment to join the Ten Commandments in front of the courthouse in Oklahoma City. Freedom of speech and separation of church and state are wonderful things. Thanks to our Founding Fathers for their foresight in creating our Constitution and specifically the First Amendment. They made America what it is today.

These are not atheists. They practice a religion which was established in the 1960s, and is worldwide. They also raised over $20,000 for this statue. The tenets of the religion were lifted almost directly from Ayn Rand, which makes it the perfect religion for today's republican party.
"Under God" was not added to the pledge until 1954, and the Pledge is not a legal document. This country was founded as a place where everyone could practice their own religion, or none, without fear of persecution. That is the reason why atheists cannot be arrested. We have the First Amendment which specifically protects them.
So anyone can put any statue they want in this park?
Whoever allowed the ten commandments failed to maintain separation of church and state. I'm not religious or anti-religious but this serves them right. Ideally both statues are removed.

Ideally both can remain if that is what the people want.
On a side note how are they are going to protect this thing? Someone is going to show up with a plasma cutter in the middle of the night and cut it up into tiny little pieces.
