I wonder if the ballet coach yells at the dancers or if they take high level math courses? lol

God, sports, family freedom. You think something is wrong with those four things? Why is that? I'd put sports at the end myself but again what is wrong with that? I guess to liberals everything because the "government" isn't listed first.............the God of the liberals.

Bwahahaahaha. "burger flipping calculus hero" Care to place a bet on how many burger flippers know calculus and how many played football? Anecdotally, the football players around here tend to be dumb communication majors or guys working at home depot.

Actually then you have never seen a actual Soccer game since it is more violent than American football.
Soccer players do not run around with "helmets" and "gloves" or "teeth guards".

What this has too do with "Liberals" is beyond me.

More of your stereotyping of athletes. Why am I not surprised.

Do you liberals not realize most take calculus in high school? lol

Or do you just think since YOU took calculus you are smarter than those who didn't? The liberal mind......lost like usual.

What do high school students have to do with any of this? I guess you didn't read the link either. What a shock.
Probably. But they wouldn't dream of engaging in such behavior themselves. And I'd bet good money that they'd find you and your worship of violence and cruelty to be crude and juvenile.

How do you know what they dream about? If they don't like violence and cruelty then they wouldn't be playing football. Are you that lost?

What stereotyping? I specifically pointed out my anecdotal experience. I don't have a problem with athletics mind you, but to try and claim that a football player is less likely to be a burger flipper than a "calculus hero" is only contrived in your mind.

It is the coach's job to impose discipline on his team. His job is to yell, cuss and sometimes slap a player upside the head. The coach is not doing this to bully a player or because he doesn't "like" the player. If he felt the player was hopeless, he would not have the player on his roster. He is doing it because he wants the player to be the best he knows the player can be. He is doing out of "love" for the player and the team. Good coaches know more about your ability than you know about your ability. They motivate you to get the maximum they know you have to give. It doesn't matter whether you are a ball player, an employee or in the military. Good leaders discipline and to some it may seem like being bullied. I recall when I was in basic training and I thought my TI was mean and evil treating an 18 year old like that when he yelled in my face. But as training went on, I realized this guy really cared about us and did not want to see us fail or even get hurt or killed later on.

I have a shocking thing to tell you............many athletes excel on the field and in the classroom and aren't bullies......
A good percentage of Div I athletes are not in college for an education.
