Doesn't matter. If the tea party republicans or any republicans, for that matter, had a plan for the economy or health care that was actually good or popular, it would force negotiation.

But for the last five years, all we've heard from these guys is "no" and criticism about plans that have been put forth. Like I said, let's hear their plans. Obamacare was originally a GOP plan (because the healthcare system has not worked for decades), but because he wanted it--they didn't.

Even in the 2012 GOP debates, I don't remember hearing any actual plans for the economy or much else. Well, Rick Perry had some plans, but forgot what they were, Gingrich thought colonizing the moon was a good plan, and Romney could never decide what he thought although he was going to repeal the ACA on day one (which apparently did not go over too well).

Wrong, the guns of F&F were never tracked. That was one of the main differences between the earlier 'Wide Receiver' operation and F&F.

Homeland Security Today:

Quote:
Federal officials involved in counter-cartel trafficking intelligence operations familiar with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' (ATF) gun-trafficking sting operation called “Fast and Furious,” told Homeland Security Today that repeated warnings the program would fail unless properly designed Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) or GPS tracking chips were hidden in the weapons ATF was trying to track “fell on deaf ears.”

“We were ignored,” said one of the officials interviewed on condition of anonymity....”
Quote:
According to authorities, RFID chips were concealed in some of the guns that were sold in a similar but much smaller in scope ATF sting operation called Wide Receiver years earlier under the Bush administration.

So under F&F, there was no effort to track the guns. The only plausible explanation, other than the ATF had gone insane, was that they wanted to cause a spike in crime activity in order to justify new gun control legislation. Why else would you dump a bunch of guns into criminal hands?

I don't know...one thing that happened before Nixon resigned was that Goldwater went to the wh and told Nixon that he had lost the support of all but 15 Senators. Nixon knew that he would not only be impeached, but probably convicted.

I don't see Harry Reid doing that.

"Popular" meaning promising more freebies? Of course they had no such plans. They don't believe in trapping ever increasing amounts of people in poverty just to guarantee votes, as do Democrats.

There are still enough Republicans around who remember the beating they took from the Clinton impeachment. I think you don't impeach unless you have bipartisan support. And if Democrats are not willing to hold Holder accountable, then it's up to the voters. If the voters won't do so, then he gets away with it.

Candidate Obama said that politicians lie and cover up when they have something to hide.

#1 Obama lied and said the program started under Bush.
#2 Lies about them actually tracking guns.
#3 Obama uses executive Privilege to prevent any investigation.

I agree with Candidate Obama, someone has something to hide. We need his transparency. 200 plus dead!

No--popular meaning acceptable or desired by the majority. So again, what plans have the tea party or any republicans put forth?

Did the OP not state the info related to Holder's impeachment?

Seems to me as if it's time to break-out the tin-foil hats ... and pass some around.
