I grew up in the south and saw plenty of obese white people, obese black people, obese hispanics, etc. The south has an obesity problem with an extra helping of gravy.
here's a shock. I've seen plenty of fat freaks from NY. in fact, everyone I have ever met from NY has been a fat person. granted, they were all from "upstate" but they were still from NY.
so liberals don't pass laws for their friends? jesus christ. I have no words.
Duh! I never said they didn't, but in this case, that's where to assign the blame. Also, if anyone suggests limiting what you can buy, (ala ...Bloomberg) all of the libertarians come out of the closet saying "Oh, you're restricting choice", "the horror of it all!" If you want all that freedom, you're going to end up paying for it - one way or another!
I'm not concerned with whether you "believe" me or not. But as long as I am forced to fund your failed ideology, you will continue to read about my hatred of that ideology. Trust me when I say that I believe liberals and liberalism are the scum and the scourge of the Earth.
which is why you are unfamiliar with the mason-dixon line? you're in the south buddy. "get er done." unless you're in montgomery county. that's more like south korea.

Just one more reason why Foodstamps needs to be run more like the WIC program. As run now, the program is apparently not meeting its goals of assuring families have adequate NUTRITION.
Mandatory nutrition and budgeting classes should also be given at least once a year as a requisite for collecting these food benefits. Maybe even ALL benefits.
Benefits should have strings designed to actually solve problems at their roots, rather than designed to fail so that more good money can be thrown after bad.

I second that!
