Where can we hear the actual tapes? I say it's wrong to make such a huge, negative stain against the guy until we've seen the evidence to back it up.
They give us some insight into the individual but keep in mind that these were casual situations, I would question anyone who thinks that their conversations could stand up to public scrutiny. Already stated but I don't see criticism of Israel meddling in US affairs as anti-Semitism.
Nixon's anti Semitism has been well documented and shouldn't be a shock to anyone. Nixon's beliefs were typical of white America in that era. Even after the end of WW2 and the newsreel footage of the liberated death camps Jews couldn't stay in many hotels in this country or buy property in so called Christian neighborhoods.
Read Bob Woodward's The Secret Man, or The Final Days. Nixon was INCREDIBLY anti-Semitic or more specifically, anti- Jewish, and so were a whole bunch of his acolytes in that administration, including Bob Haldeman, his COS.
In fact, he was nakedly anti-Jewish. It wasn't as if he made attempts to hide it. He worked with many Jews like Kissinger, but he was very wary of them.

Not for liberals it isn't. Nasty bunch, aren't they? But as has been stated, Nixon's feelings were no secret so I don't see this as any great revelation except, perhaps, for the one who started this thread. I wonder why it was begun.
you know what? Regardless, this isn't particularly news, it happened almost 40 years ago and we haven't heard the tapes, so what is the point of this period?
