I agree. To me, flag burning is free speech. I may not like it, but it's not my place to restrict someone else's expression.

kind of all-or-nothing on that one. i consider myself pro-gun but can see the need for regulation in certain matters. just as i am pro-freedom of speech but can also see the need for some restraints ( libel, slander, child porn.....).

as to the topic:

IMO anyone that would burn the american flag within the US to make a point is most likely a douche-rocket..... and anyone that would fight to take away that person's right to be a douche-rocket is most likely..... a douche-rocket.

I hate the fact that anyone would want to burn the symbol of our great country, but I support the rights of the people to do it. That is part of the freedoms that our flag represents.

i support the 2nd amendment. burning the flag is the most effed up way of showing were a country that believes in free speech. what bothers me more is seeing illegals burning our flag.

I was going to bring this up, but I skimmed through to see if someone else beat me to it.

(I suspect most reasonable realized that the previous poster was talking about desecrating the flag through burning, not burning the flag "respectfully" as per the law.)

I suppose...if you're the sort of person who derives glee in burning flags. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
