I don't expect it to go anywhere, nor would it stand even if it did which is obvious which makes one wonder where these people come from that would even suggest this.

A recently introduced bill in the Illinois state Senate would require anonymous website comment posters to reveal their identities if they want to keep their comments online.

Well that's just dumb. Another politician wasting our time. People have, for years, been able to write letters to the editor with "name with held". Same applies to these internet forums.
