for example when people ask if you support civil unions or gay marriages, i even find the premise insulting that a group of strangers gets to decide if OTHER people get to do something that they already get to do.

I thought in america EVERYBODY got a right or NOBODY got it. I thought everyone was guaranteed the same rights.

I'm failing to understand why it should matter who supports this since it's not supposed to be UP to other people.

Another Pity Party Of The Day thread?

Take a walk in the fresh air and breathe deep. Then come home and have some milk and cookies.

If you have nothing to add to the topic I would suggest you take your own advice.

No;Rights are very restrictive in where they apply. For example ;you don't have the same rights as the poor to not fund government and in fact to get supplemented on income. yo can be taqxed more for the same service provide also.

Physical exercise is a time tested, effective antidote for depression. Cookies and milk warms the soul. A winning combination.

You're right. It's so egotistical to think you should get to decide what others can or can't do, even though they aren't doing a thing to bother or hurt you. Tyranny of the majority applies just the same when it comes to states rights as it does to the entire country...
