FDR started all the social programs...I've always thought that that was an amazing feature of American society.
The creation of our plethora of social problems instigated the long and winding road we've seen towards financial instability. This isn't an amazing feature of American society...it's going to spell the end of it. Public debt is already well over the agreed upon percent (90) of GDP that begins to effect economic growth. This trajectory can't be sustained.

Obama has done an amazing job compared to George W. Bush. Obama's first term started cleaning up the mess Bush left. Just imagine where we would be if Obama actually had a GOP looking to make deals.

To top that, his money for free bubble burst in OCT 2004 and bottomed out on 2008 making homes worthless compared the the note held on them. No one seems to get that idea, but his economic plan is responsible for this mess and Bush did nothing to correct it.
After repealing Glass-Steagal and other legislation, nah, not so much. a lot of Clinton's credit comes from a Republican congress that pushed him in the right direction, and the fraudulent dot.com financial bubble.
