Claiming that they hate poor people.
You should probably tell Newt Gingrich to stop going on TV and saying poor people have no work ethic.

so do all of you believe it, no, but it also isnt some conspiracy theory that comes from mid air.

Claiming that they are racist.
John Sununu.

Also, this forum has some pretty good examples. Your party may not all be racist, but you have a huge problem because your party defends racist. That is why you will never get the black vote.

Claiming that they want children with downs syndrome to fend for themselves.
Im not sure i have heard anyone argue that as a conspiracy, evidence ? although mental health is underfunded in this nation.

Claiming that they want to suppress voter rights.
You must have slept through the last election cycle ?

"read: black people " LOL

Quote:
Claiming that they want to impose theocracy on America.
When you cons claim this is a Christian country and that our laws are based on the Bible, that is exactly what you are doing.

Quote:
Claiming that they are purposely obstructing economic recovery.
You are, your reasoning for doing it is that you think its better to Obstruct Obama because what he is doing is making it worse.

so you dont believe you are obstructing, you think you are helping. Thats a difference of opinion, not an untrue conspiracy theory.

Claiming that they incite violence.
read these forums and you will see why.

Sorry to burst your bubble. I'm sure you expected that to be a rhetorical question because of course liberals don't make wild unfounded claims about conservatives. Unfortunately, the reality is that they do.
the reality is that you hide from what your side does.

Claiming that they are conducting a war on women. - The most certainly are attempting to remove rights from women in a systematic fashion in states across the country. I personally think calling it a "war" is a bit over the top but there is no doubt Republicans are and have been very hostile towards women and routinely insult their intelligence.

Claiming that they hate poor people. - Stop pretending like policy and rhetoric don't matter. We both know this one is true.

Claiming that they are racist. - Again, a proven fact with decades worth of evidence. I'm sorry that fact hurts your feelings but it is still never the less a fact.

Claiming that they want children with downs syndrome to fend for themselves. - I have personally never heard this one but honestly Republicans generally do advocate leaving the poor to fend for themselves (see above).

Claiming that they want to suppress voter rights. - Again, this is a provable fact not an opinion. It is just the reality of what Republicans have done for decades and most certainly did in the 2012 election.

Claiming that they want to impose theocracy on America. - They certainly do continually attempt to enshrine their preferred religion into public law. How is that different from Theocracy?

Claiming that they are purposely obstructing economic recovery. - Again, a proven fact which multiple sitting Republicans in party leadership positions have publicly admitted to. They don't want to do anything to improve the economy because then that "helps Obama".

Claiming that they incite violence. - Again, I haven't personally seen this one but if they're referring to calls that "if we don't win at the ballot box then we'll win at the bullet box", "we need to water the tree of liberty with blood of the tyrant Obama", or "the best use of a gun is to shoot a liberal" then, yes, I agree they are indeed making out outrageous statements with the intent to incite violence.

You're problem is you don't see to understand the difference between a fact, something which is provably true, and a conspiracy theory, something for which their is no evidence but which you believe any way. You really should get to know the difference.

It was an actual study and was reported about on dozens of different media sources. I'm not sure why he chose that one but attacking the source won't get you very far on this one.

Did either of you actually read the raw source, not the Mother Jones article?

At no point in the poll do they ask or say anything about the birther conspiracy which is what most of you seem to be latched on to claiming that most Republicans believe in the birther idea.

They only asked one question even close and it was:

Quote:
CON4 President Obama is hiding important information about his background and early life
1 True
2 Somewhat true
3 Unlikely
4 Not at all likely
8 DK (vol)
9 Refused (vol)
Hell, read the details. It says a lot more than either of you are mentioning, of course because it's not good for Democrats.

It says that republicans are more likely to seek out info that reinforces their conspiracy beliefs. That the more educated you are the less likely you are to believe conspiracies(good news for a lot of democrats). And that black people believed that GWB(and the government) was connected with the 9/11 tragedy, but that had more to do with an overall feeling of disconnection from the political process, than an actual belief in any conspiracy theories. It looks like it was still mainly bad news for republicans.

I'm a liberal, but you must not deny the fact that conspiracy nuts exist on both sides.
There's a big difference between the two. Our loons aren't the mainstream ones, in some cases even running for President and being one of the top candidates

It says a lot more than that, you're just cherry picking what you like and dropping the rest like most good little *******s do.
